Abnormally Dry – For Now

The latest drought monitor, released on the first of December, still shows Abnormally Dry conditions in Central Illinois.

While most of November was dry, we had a few good rain events towards the end of the month, but they did not put a dent in our dry conditions that we have. We have a more active pattern setting up for the start of next week, which will provide us with maybe up to an inch of water.  Some of this will fall in the form of snow on Sunday and also on Thursday.
