It’s that time of year when we’re gathering tax-related documents to do our tax preparation and filing. If you have a relatively simple tax situation, then you may be able to save yourself some money and prepare your own tax forms.

United Way has collaborated with H&R Block to provide access to tax software online that allows you to file both federal and state taxes for free. is completely free for households who earned less than $66,000 in 2017.
