Local residents can receive insights about ways to reduce their energy consumption and save money on their utility bills during four upcoming workshops. Presented by the City of Champaign and the RPC, in conjunction with Ameren Illinois, the workshops are being held as part of the recently launched Safety, Lighting, Energy Efficiency Program (SLEEP) in the Garden Hills area.
Tell us more about SLEEP: why was the program started and what do the different partners hope to accomplish through it?
What can people attending the workshops expect? What kinds of topics will be covered and what kind of information will be provided? Does it cost anything to attend?
Apart from the workshops, what are some other ways the partners are reaching out to the community about SLEEP?
If people want more information about the program, what can they do or where can they go?
