Zahav restaurant in Philadelphia, owned by our event keynote speakers, just won the James Beard award for Outstanding Restaurant of the Year.

1: Steven Cook and Chef Michael Solomonov, co-owners of several Philadelphia-area restaurants in the Cook N’ Solo restaurant group including James Beard “Outstanding Restaurant of the Year” Zahav, will be featured guests at an event at Sinai Temple called “Zahav: A Golden Evening of Culinary Delights”

2: Event is open to all interested individuals in the community, though seating is limited and RSVPs are required. Cost is $250 per person. RSVP at by noon Friday.

3: The event includes a delicious 5-course meal catered by Michael’s Catering using recipes from Zahav. Also included are wine, and a copy of the team’s new cookbook, Israeli Soul. Steven Cook and Michael Solomonov will participate in a discussion with local media personality Elizabeth Hess about their experiences in the restaurant industry.

4: This fun culinary event is also a fundraiser, with proceeds benefitting Sinai Temple’s Yesod LeAtid- Foundation for the Future renovation project, which will update the sacred spaces in the synagogue to make them more accessible.
