Amanda Oakley from the Department of Food Science and Human nutrition from U of I joins us to talk about healthy snacking for Healthy Living. 

-Snacks can curb between meal appetite 

-Great time to add fruits and veggies

-Protein and/or fat can help satiety

-Packing snacks and lunch the evening ahead can eliminate morning prep time

-Some snack options could include: 

-Apple with peanut butter

-Cheese stick with grapes

-Veggies and dip made with plain Greek yogurt or ranch mix.
