Giving Back: United Way of Champaign County

The Morning Show

Beverley Baker, Director of Community Impact with the United of Champaign County stops by the Morning Show for this week’s Giving Back and shows how you can help in the community.

National Volunteer Month and National Volunteer Week take place April as a time to pay special attention to the importance of volunteering in your local community.

Many local agencies depend of reliable volunteers in order to provide services to members in our community. Being a volunteer has a significant amount of impact in our community! To find a local volunteer opportunity visit is a partnership between United Way of Champaign County and the University of Illinois. It is a website that connects local non-profit organizations and community members interested in volunteering. Organizations can post opportunities on the site and potential volunteers can browse and sign up for opportunities they find appealing.
