Giving Back: Girl Scouts of Central Illinois

The Morning Show

Girl Scouts of Central Illinois serves 20,000 girls with 5,000 volunteers, 500 volunteers in the Champaign Service Center area, most of those serving as troop leaders.  We also need volunteers to assist with program events as well as series curriculum in schools and social agencies, directly impacting girls.  Indirectly, volunteers can make a difference assisting with Cookie Crew delivery, prepping Camp Kiwanis in Mahomet for Summer, leading girls at camp, entering survey data to measure outcomes, becoming a board member and so forth.  The more volunteers we have to help, the more girls we can build of courage, confidence and character, 20,000 and beyond.

DATE AND TIME OF VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY:

Troop leader recruitment and training ongoing; series and data entry ongoing; Cookie Crew delivery now through March 21, 2016; Helping Hands Day at Camp Kiwanis May 14; summer camp June-August.
