Giving Back: Festival of Quilts

The Morning Show

We’re giving back this morning. Find out how you can get involved with the Festival of Quilts through the Cunningham Children’s Home.

ORGANIZATION NAME: Cunningham Children’s Home

ISSUE TO ADDRESS: For 15 years, the Festival of Quilts celebrates a special tradition at Cunningham; since 1895, every young person that comes to live at Cunningham is given a hand-made quilt to enjoy and treasure forever. The quilts are lovingly created by United Methodist Women and other members of the quilting community throughout Illinois who care about Cunningham youth.

The Festival of Quilts couldn’t happen without 125+ volunteers that help in all areas over the 2 day event. From setting up of the 100+ quilts, to working in the different Festival areas; gift shop, quilt boutique, café, bake sale, greeting patrons, parking attendants, the list is endless!
