Executive Director of CASA, Rush Record, stops by the Morning Show to discuss volunteer opportunities and how you can help the youth of Champaign County.
Abused and Neglected children in the Champaign County Court system need advocates to speak up for their best interests, with approximately 350 are waiting in the court system.
CASA asks that an advocate commit to two years if possible as that is the average length of time a case can be in the system. No experience is necessary, we provide the training and supervision needed to advocate for a child in the system. The only experience necessary is the desire to help children.
Advocates work side by side with others in the social service system to ensure that the child’s best interests are being met throughout the process.
Date and Time: Classes begin Tuesday January 24th and conclude on Wednesday February 15th
