CHAMPAIGN (WCIA) — The Parkland men’s golf team has been here before. They got 10th at nationals last season. The Cobras begin their quest to improve on that finish on Monday.
“It’s been a good season but as I tell the guys, we have yet to play our best golf as a team,” head coach Corbin Sebens said. “Yeah we’ve shown some spurts of guys having special performances in tournaments but as a whole, as a team we have not reached that best playing so hopefully we can do that at nationals.”
“I just learned to stay within the moment,” Tyler Woods added. “There were some holes where I lost track what I was doing and didn’t score like I wanted to so I just hope to go down there strike it around the course and score well.”
Nationals run Monday through Thursday.
