CHARLESTON (WCIA) — Future NBA lottery pick Ja Morant scored a game high 27 points to go along with nine assists, leading Murray State to an 83-61 win at Lantz Arena Thursday night.
Eleven NBA scouts were on hand to see Morant, including Chicago Bulls General Manager Gar Forman. The do-it-all sophomore was impressive, flashing both an outside game to go along with his signature dunks, doing both on a key 11-0 run to give the Racers the lead in the first half.
Mack Smith led the way for the Panthers, scoring a team high 22 points. EIU drops to 10-8 on the seaosn, 3-2 in the Ohio Valley Conference.
