SPRINGFIELD — The 2nd Lincoln Land Charity Championship tees off in one week at Panther Creek Country Club in Springfield and they need your help. Volunteers are still needed for the four-day event and it includes a round at the private course, a more than $100 value. For $50, volunteers receive a shirt, hat and tickets for family and friends to attend the tournament, all in exchange for two 8-hour shifts.
“The really cool thing about volunteering for a professional sporting event like this golf tournament is you’re up close and personal, you’re behind the scenes, you get to see what goes into putting on an event of this magnitude,” tournament director Kate Peters said. “We really take care of our volunteers, we make it a fun experience.”
The Web.com Tour is the Path to the PGA Tour, with the top finishers at the end of the season earning their PGA Tour card for 2018. General admission tickets are still available for all days at $10 per piece.
