Illinois women’s hoops beats Indiana State

CHAMPAIGN (WCIA) — The Illinois women’s basketball team used a big fourth quarter run to beat Indiana State 75-57 Wednesday night at State Farm Center. The Illini outscored the Sycamores 21-10 in the final 10 minutes to improve to 6-2 on the season.

Senior Alex Wittinger led the Illini offensively and defensively with 18 points and eight rebounds. Sarah Shewan was a close second with 17 points. Brandi Beasley was also a dominant force for the Illini, scoring 14 points.
