PEORIA (WCIA) — Former MacArthur standout Armon Brummett is leaving Bradley after one season with the Braves basketball team. The 6-foot-4 guard announced on Twitter Wednesday afternoon his intent to transfer.
“I would like to thank Coach Wardle and the Bradley University Coaching staff,” Brummett said in a statement. “I have decided that it would be in my best interest to depart from Bradley University and open my recruitment again. I wish Coach Wardle and Bradley University nothing but continued success for the future.”
Brummett helped the Braves win the Missouri Valley Conference tournament championship and advance to the NCAA tournament. The guard appeared in 24 games, averaging less than one point and one rebound per game. His brother Amir announced he’s leaving the Northern Illinois University football program after redshirting last fall.
