Illinois beats Northwestern, snaps road losing streak

EVANSTON — Illinois won a road game for the first time in more than a year and snapped a three-game losing streak in the process beating Northwestern 68-61 Tuesday night at Welsh-Ryan Arena.

Malcolm Hill scored a team high 14 points, all in the second half, to lead the Illini.  With the win, Illinois improves to 14-11 overall and 4-8 in the Big Ten.  WCIA 3’s Craig Choate reports.
