CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WCIA) — Former Monticello wide receiver Dylan Thomas quickly learned college football is a lot different than the high school game.
Thomas helped lead the Monticello Sages for the past couple of years before walking-on to the Illini program where he joins a group of experienced wide receivers.
“Not anything like high school. High school you have like the first week of August is the two-a-day practices but that’s like you get done at one or two, this is you got to wake up, meetings, practice, more meetings, walk through, more meetings, it’s just cool I would say,” Thomas said.
The Illini are back in training camp Monday morning at 9 a.m.
