Late innings bite Illini late in the season


CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WCIA) — Illinois baseball blew a 4-0 lead on Saturday to end their season at the hands of Jacksonville State. It’s not the first late game collapse for the Illini this season.

Illinois ended the year by losing five out of their last six games. In those five losses, Illinois allowed 19 totals runs in the 7th, 8th, and 9th innings. They gave up seven runs in the 7th, nine allowed in the 8th, and three allowed in the 9th.
