CHAMPAIGN (WCIA) — Illinois basketball has been tested in numerous ways this season both on the court and off. It’s all part of a culture change that first-year head coach Brad Underwood is trying to instill in the Illini.
“I’m a process guy and it’s all about the process and if we took a step back in the process tonight,” Underwood said after losing to Wisconsin 78-69 Thursday night. “I still believe this team can go beat anybody in this league but until the process becomes we’re everyday guys, to me that’s a challenge for character and we’ve got to continue to strive to do that.”
Trent Frazier scored a career-high 32 points, just two shy of the program freshman record for a game, but it wasn’t enough to top the Badgers. Illinois returns to the court Sunday night hosting Penn St. at 6 p.m.
