Illini signee, Okpala, visits Spring Ball

Illini

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WCIA) — In a few month Moses Okpala will be in uniform for the Illini. This weekend he visited his future home to take in spring ball from the sidelines.

He’s a 6’7, 250 pound defensive lineman from St. Louis. 247sports has him ranked as the 4th best player for the Illini in the class of 2019. He said he liked what he saw from practice, especially the up-tempo style in which Illinois practices.

“Practice was good. I really enjoyed it, it’s like something I’m looking forward to seeing,” Okpala said. “For me it feels like fun, it’s fun. Because it’s not like laid back. Most high school practices, they’re kind of laid back. This is let’s go, let’s go. That’s what I really enjoy.”

Illinois returns to the practice field Tuesday morning.
