CHAMPAIGN (WCIA) — Former Illinois basketball player Greg Eboigbodin is transferring to Northeastern, according a to post on his Twitter account Monday night. The 6-foot-9 forward announced last month his intent to transfer after just one season in Champaign. The Nigeria native averaged 2.2 points and 2.4 rebounds as a true freshman with the Illini, playing in 30 games.
Eboigbodin is the seventh player to transfer, graduate or leave the program since the end of head coach Brad Underwood’s first season at Illinois. The Illini signed eight new players for the 2018-19 season.
