CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WCIA) — Craig Choate puts his prediction in stone that the Illini will make a bowl game this season.
The schedule is fairly easy, Illinois doesn’t play Ohio State, Michigan, or Michigan State. The only two nearly guaranteed losses are Penn State and Wisconsin. Every other game on the schedule is winnable. Rutgers, Minnesota, and Nebraska are all starting the season with true freshman at quarterback… all three teams are on the schedule for the Illini.
Maybe the biggest factor, Illinois has what looks to be a legit Big Ten quarterback under center in AJ Bush.
Will the prediction come back to haunt Craig in December? We’ll have to wait and see.
