1-on-1 with Adam Miller

Illini

CHICAGO (WCIA) — Looking ahead to the 2020 class, Illinois Men’s Basketball has its eyes set on Morgan Park sophomore Adam Miller.

Miller played his freshman season at Peoria Manual before moving to Chicago. A teammate of Ayo Dosunmu, Miller was there for Dosunmu’s commitment to Illinois where WCIA3 Sports Director Bret Beherns caught up with him.

ADAM MILLER:
“Like Ayo, I’m a big, fast guard. I’m getting stronger. I play for the team and I want to win every night. So, I’m going to put my all on the floor. I run. I get buckets, but I also play defense.”

BEHERNS:
“What was the biggest factor for you coming up here?”

MILLER:
“More competition and it’s like, everything is here. It’s harder to make a name for yourself here because everybody is here. So, I’m ready for the competition.”

BEHERNS:
“Where do you see yourself in a couple of years? After being here tonight and seeing this, is it a little bit projection to think, ‘Hey, that be me in a couple years’?”

MILLER:
“Of course. Of course. I kind of see myself waiting as long as Ayo because it’s a big hard decision to know where you’re going to go to college. You only get four years to spend. You got to make the right decision.”

BEHERNS:
“What do you like about Illinois and Coach Underwood, and does Ayo going there maybe change your thoughts and opinions a little bit?”

MILLER:
“It’s kind of fun seeing the whole process. I love Coach Underwood and Coach Coleman. I like how they play and I like what they bring to the table, and what they want for the team, and how they’re going to push the team. So, I’m loving all of it.”
