WESTVILLE, Ill. (WCIA) — Coming off an elite eight appearance last season, the Westville Tigers will have a lot of new faces in the program this season.
“We’ve been blessed the last three years to be loaded with upperclassmen and those kids have graduated and moved on. Now we’ve got to dip down into the under grades and pull them up,” head coach Guy Goodlove said. “They’re going to have to learn in a hurry. They’re going to have to grow up in a hurry.”
“You just do what you tried to do last year,” senior Alec Schaumburg added. “We had a lot of new guys last year and we’re just going to try to pick up where we left off from there and just try to get better every day.”
Westville lost their season opener, and now travel to Dwight on Friday night.
