CHARLESTON — Lauren Chappell did what no other girls golfer in state history had done before, win three individual state titles. Now the Charleston senior is taking her game to the next level at one of the country’s best collegiate golf programs. Chappell signed her National Letter of Intent Wednesday to continue her career at Southerm Methodist University in Dallas, Texas.
“It’s a dream come true that I get to go and play at my dream school,” Chappell said. “It’s (signing day) a day I’ve been looking forward to since I was little and the dream is finally coming true so I’m really excited.”
Chappell didn’t just win the individual title this fall, she also led her school to the team title as well.
