Woman sought for credit card fraud

UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS — Authorities want to know who the woman in a surveillance image is.

They say she committed credit card fraud and charged more than $3,800 worth of merchandise at Tech Zone, inside Illini Union, in the 1400-block of West Green Street.

The crime happened about 12:45 pm, Friday, December 16.

She’s described as a woman, black, 5’6″, 190 lbs., with black and gold hair. She was last seen wearing a black sweatshirt and black pants and carrying a multi-colored backpack.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers. Tipsters are always 100% completely anonymous.

All tips submitted to Crime Stoppers are electronically stripped of any personally identifying information and processed by a third-party answering service, not law enforcement.

Cash rewards of up to $1,000 are paid for information leading to an arrest. Tipsters will never be asked their name and are given a secret code number to use when checking on a possible reward.
