CENTRAL ILLINOIS — Travel was a headache for many drivers Wednesday. Snow started late in the morning and was still falling in some places by quitting time.
Travel is steady, but snow plows and salt trucks are out treating area roadways. Earlier, drivers had to deal with both ice and snow.
County highways and interstates were some of the more hazardous spots. State police responded to multiple crashes and slide-offs.
Drivers are urged to go slow, use caution and give yourself plenty of time to get to your destination.
