USPS warns of scams


ILLINOIS — It’s everyone’s dream to receive mail stating you’ve won a grand prize, but you may want to think twice about giving up your personal information.

It’s National Consumer Protection Week. Postal workers want you to be aware of scams. Inspectors say scams take many different forms and, if it seems too good to be true, it probably is.

Inspectors suggest not signing up for free prizes or sweepstakes drawings.
