USDA wants end to food stamps at “grocery store/restaurants”

NATIONAL — The U.S. Department of Agriculture could be cracking down on restaurants. The federal government wants to stop low-income families from using food stamps in restaurants.

It’s mainly for those posing as grocery stores to get payments from the SNAP program, specifically places which reheat pizza to sell to customers. Officials will take public comment for 60-days.
