Unemployment goes down


CENTRAL ILLINOIS (WCIA) — Nearly all of the state’s major areas saw lower unemployment rates this November than the last.

Two metros in Central Illinois are among those that saw the most new jobs. Those are Champaign-Urbana and Decatur. The November unemployment rate in Illinois was 3.4%, down from 4% last November.

The industries that saw more jobs include mining and construction, education, health services and government.
