TUSCOLA, Ill. (WCIA) – City officials closed several railroad crossings Sunday after a train derailment.

In a Facebook post, the Tuscola Fire Department said there was a minor train derailment which closed several rail crossings through town.

The Prairie and Carico Street crossings remained open, while all others were closed for about four hours for rail crews to complete repairs.

As of around 12:30 p.m. on Sunday all the crossings were re-opened with the exception of Niles Avenue.

This is a developing story.
