FRANKLIN — The lone survivor of a devastating house fire Tuesday has been released from the hospital.

Former Marine Justin Austif survived the blaze which killed his wife and two young children.

Officials say the fire does not appear suspicious.

Family and friends are raising funds online to cover funeral costs. Nearly $10,000 has been raised so far.

Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday.

FRANKLIN — Three people are dead after an early morning house fire. Officials are investigating the cause.

Betsie Austif and her two children, Jacob, 3-years, and Jocelyn, 2-months, died after the fire broke out about 2 am, Tuesday.

The coroner says the sole survivor, John Austif, jumped out a window and is now recovering at Memorial Medical Center.

Crews say the house was engulfed when they arrived. Those on scene say it’s heartbreaking when these things happen.

No other homes were damaged. The community is making plans to help the survivor rebuild.

FRANKLIN — Three people are dead after an early morning fire in Morgan County. Investigators are on the scene at 409 Main Street.  

Crews responded to the fire just after 2 am, Tuesday. The sheriff’s office says there are three confirmed fatalities, another is in the hospital.  

There’s no word on a cause.
