Federal tax filing day pushed back

NATIONAL (WCIA) — The federal government said Friday tax day is officially delayed to July 15.

Even with the federal government giving people more time, local accountants still think it is a good idea to try and get filings in early.

An Illinois Department of Revenue spokesman said there was nothing to report when asked if tax filing for individuals would be delayed. As of right now, taxes are still due on April 15.
