Suspects sought for battery, burglary, criminal damage

CHAMPAIGN — Police are investigating an aggravated battery, burglary and criminal damage. It happened about 11 pm, March 12, 2016.

Authorities say two suspects entered the mall after hours and tried to burglarize a business. They were interrupted by a security guard who they attacked by hitting the victim in the head multiple times with a crowbar.

One suspect was apprehended on the scene, but the other suspect fled. Arrest warrants have been issued for both suspects.

52-year old Terence Brown is wanted for failure to appear for aggravated battery with great bodily harm. Brown is a man, black, 5’10”, 180 lbs.

Shawnta Coleman is wanted for retail theft in another case. She’s a 31-year old woman, black, 5’4″, 170 lbs.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers. Tipsters are always 100% completely anonymous.
