URBANA — Authorities are investigating an armed robbery. It happened about 3 am, Saturday, February 25, at Circle K, in the 500-block of West University.
Police responded to the scene and were told a suspect pointed a handgun at the cashier, demanding her to get on the floor. He tied her hands behind her back and demanded she tell him how to open the register. He fled with an undisclosed amount of money.
The suspect is described as a man, black, in his 20’s, 5’8″. He was wearing a black-hooded sweatshirt, black pants and a black mask on his face.
Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers. Tipsters are always 100% completely anonymous.
