State lawmaker wants ban on sale of violent video games

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WCIA) — A state lawmaker wants to ban the sale of violent video games in Illinois.

Representative Marcus Evans blames games like “Grand Theft Auto” for a rise in car-jackings in the Chicago area. He did not cite any studies or research to back up that claim, but he believes they influence the behavior of kids and turn a serious crime into a joke.
