ILLINOIS — The budget impasse hasn’t dampened a surplus of solar jobs in the state.

The number increased by about 4,000 workers, in 2016; or 7% from last year.

The report was released just hours before President Trump signed an executive order reversing the Clean Power Plan.

The move stops President Obama’s efforts to combat climate change.
