Sewer rate increase


Rate increases expected next year

TILTON, Ill. (WCIA)– People may see changes to their sewer bills. The board voted to raise the rates. It will go up about five dollars on the base rate and another dollar on the use rate.

They say the plant was built decades ago and has been deteriorating. The sewer rate increase will help them get money to fix the problem. People will notice a change in rates starting the 1st of next year.
