SCOTUS votes down transgendered restrooms

NATIONAL — The US Supreme Court voted against allowing transgendered people to use the bathroom of their choice.

In a 5 – 3 vote, the court ruled a woman who wants to identify as a man cannot use the male restroom.

The Court of Appeals says it lacks legal authority and goes against the meaning of “sex” when that law was enacted years ago.

The school board intends to file a request asking the Supreme Court to review the case again and reverse the decision.
