CHAMPAIGN — One professor is being honored for her work in agriculture.
Parkland College recognized Jennifer Fridgen as the school’s Innovation and Engagement Award Winner. Her teaching in precision agriculture is helping students learn about cutting-edge technology.
Fridgen helped the college get a $200,000 grant from the National Science Foundation in April. She plans on using the money to buy new agriculture technology to train students.
The award ceremony takes place March 3, at Parkland’s student union.
