PAXTON, Ill. (WCIA) — Organizers of the town’s annual Christmas Parade Celebration said they will be canceling this year’s festivities.
Paxton Pride said they called off this year’s celebration because of fears over the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. They stated the parade normally pulls in around 2,500 to 3,000 people. They were concerned they would not be able to properly enforce social distancing.
