Old firehouse torn down

ST. JOSEPH, Ill. (WCIA) — A part of one fire protection district’s history came down Thursday. The old station for the St. Joseph-Stanton Fire Protection District is being demolished. It was built in 1973. A new parking lot will go there instead.

Firefighters recently moved into their new firehouse next door, which has double the space.
