OAKWOOD, Ill. (WCIA) — Oakwood Grade School will be remote learning until the end of the week.
A teacher got a positive COVID test and other teachers had to go into quarantine. This caused a shortage of teachers.
The district hopes students can return back to the classroom by January 19.
“Our staff, I just commend them because they have been very diligent about making sure that we’re consistent at following the guidelines right now,” Superintendent Larry Maynard said.
The district will continue their food distribution for students during this time.
