Nonprofit to give away school supplies

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WCIA) — An area non profit is giving back to the community it says gives them so much.

I Am E.N.O.U.G.H. is hosting a back to school giveaway. The group plans to give more than 100 book bags filled with school supplies to kids in Springfield. The group is dedicated to building the character of young women in the community. Leaders said the giveaway will serve as lesson to their girls about saying thank you.

“We also wanted to do this fundraiser because we wanted to give back to the community as they have donated to us many times and helped us keep this program running so we wanted to say thank you.” said Colene Underwood, VP and Co-founder of I AM E.N.O.U.G.H.

The drive takes place this Saturday outside the Walmart on Lejune Drive in Springfield from eleven until two. For more information about the group or their drive, contact Tiffany Randle at 708-526-3066 or trandle@begreat2.org.
