National Girl Scout Cookie Weekend

FARMER CITY — February can seem like a long, dreary month. Except for a handful of days filled with sugar, spice and everything nice.

If you didn’t notice, this was National Girl Scout Cookie Weekend. Troops were out in full force selling Thin Mints, Samoas and Do-Si-Dos. This is the 99th year the scouts have sold their famous boxes of sweets.

They’re looking ahead to a century by making some big changes. This troop is working especially hard. If they sell more than 2,500 boxes each, they get to go to Disney World.
