Money raised from community event helps firefighters buy new saw

SIDNEY, Ill. (WCIA)– The fire department has new equipment. They bought a reciprocating saw. They raised the money from what they earned working the car show at Fun Daze. The equipment will help them break glass or windshield to remove someone who is trapped in a car. They are thanking the community for their support.

They raised roughly 800 dollars through the car show. The saw cost about 500 dollars.
