DECATUR, Ill. (WCIA) — A man has been sentenced in the 2019 death of a toddler.
Anthony Myers was given 30 years for the death of 2-year-old Ta’Naja Barnes. Her body was found in her Decatur home wrapped in a urine-soaked blanket and a body temperature so low, it did not register on a thermometer.
Myers was the live-in boyfriend of Barnes’ mother, Twanka Davis. She is serving a 20-year sentence.
