Man robs Casey’s of cash & cigarettes

SPRINGFIELD — Police are investigating an armed robbery. It happened about 11:10 pm, Friday, at Casey’s General Store, in the 3000-block of Ridge.

A suspect walked in, pointed a handgun at employees and demanded money. The suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of cash and several cartons of Newport cigarettes. No one was hurt. 

The suspect is a man, black, 6′, thin build. He was wearing all dark clothing. He was seen getting into a gold-colored SUV, possibly a Cadillac.
