LEROY, Ill. (WCIA) — A high school science teacher is slated to appear in court Thursday afternoon after police arrested him on multiple felony charges.
Brandon Reynolds, 33, was arrested Tuesday by LeRoy Police on charges of grooming, indecent solicitation of a minor and obstruction of justice.
Citing an ongoing investigation, LeRoy Police on Wednesday declined to detail the events that led to the arrest.
LeRoy school district officials similarly said in a statement that their participation in that investigation, as well as one being handled by the Department of Child and Family Services, prevents them from disclosing anything other than that Reynolds’ communications with a minor student were part of the issue.
Reynolds is currently on administrative leave from the district.
He is scheduled for court at 12:30 on Thursday afternoon and remains in police custody at the McLean County Jail.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Sgt. Nathan Wilkins, (309)-962-3310, email@example.com.
Police said they arrested a man for grooming and solicitation of a minor.
In a Facebook post, LeRoy Police said 33-year-old Brandon Reynolds was arrested Tuesday. Officers did not comment on what lead up to Reynolds’ arrest.
He is being held at the McLean County Jail.
