Lottery tickets raise money for cancer research

ILLINOIS, (WCIA) — The Illinois Lottery is selling tickets for Breast Cancer Awareness month.

The scratch offs are raising money for breast cancer research and treatment in Illinois. The game is named after the former Illinois Lottery Superintendent, Carolyn Adams. She lost her battle with breast cancer in 2007.

Each ticket costs $3 and the top prize is $50,000
