DANVILLE, Ill. (WCIA) — Once this woman gets 100 coats, she’s personally driving them to South Carolina. It’s her way of helping victims of Hurricane Florence.

She’s asking for help doing it. Heidi Pertell spoke to her cousin who’s working with area churches to get people back on their feet. Monday, she made flyers and put them on Facebook.

She’s asking people to donate old coats. She’s already picked up some. She said, after hearing of the devastation to hit the area, she knew she had to do something.
